Backing up your computer is referred to as a system image.

A system image will include your system, installed apps, files, etc. When you select a system image, crucial elements such as device drivers, bookmarks, and operating system settings are backed up. That is to say, almost everything will be backed up in a system image backup.

To create a system image, you can use the Windows built-in tool called Backup and Restore and third-party backup software, such as EaseUS Todo Backup.

Backup and Restore (Windows 7) is a snap-in tool for Windows computers that allows you to create a system image for your computer. You should have an external USB drive to store your system backup. But it cannot be ignored that Backup and Restore has no advanced backup options or cloud storage choices.

Another way to create a system image is using professional backup software - EaseUS Todo Backup.

It is a practical backup and recovery tool for Windows 11/10/8/7. It lets you back up your systems, files, disks, etc., and restore the backup when needed. Besides, it allows you to create automatic, scheduled, full, incremental, and differential backups. You can also use it to compress a backup to save space. Moreover, you can enjoy 250G cloud storage for free.

You can choose any way above to help you back up your computer.
