Well, it's better to save your game data before updating it. If you are asking how to save game data, I'm afraid it depends on the device you use.
If you are using an Android phone to play games, you can:
Step 1. Open your file manager and go to the folder named Android.
Step 2. Select the folder named data. Select and copy the data folder of the game you want to save data from.
Step 3. Paste the copied data in any other folder on your file manager except the folder named data in the Android folder.
Step 4. Uninstall the modded game and install the original APK.
