Cloud refers to a series of resource-sharing applications, including cloud service, cloud space, cloud search, cloud browsing, cloud community, and cloud application, provided by the computer, mobile phone, TV, and other electronic applications through the Internet. Therefore, Cloud is not backup software. But there is cloud storage software, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox.

Like other backup services, cloud backup, sometimes called online backup or remote backup, is a method for transferring a duplicate of a physical or virtual file or database to a secondary, off-site location for preservation in the event of a catastrophe or piece of equipment failure.

The cloud is renowned for its security and backup. Services for cloud backup include the following:

  • Directly archiving data to a public cloud. This approach involves uploading data directly to companies that offer cloud infrastructure, like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Backing up to a service provider. An organization uses backup services in a managed data center and writes data to a cloud service provider.
  • Cloud-to-cloud backup. This procedure replicates data from software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications in the cloud to another cloud.

If you wish to backup your data to the cloud, you must use professional backup software like EaseUS Todo Backup. This is because Windows in-built backup solutions do not have a cloud storage option.

EaseUS Todo Backup is a professional backup and restore tool. It can help you back up the files, systems, disks, etc., and store the backups to Cloud, Security Zone, NAS, and the local disks. Besides, it also allows you to back up to the Cloud directly.
