Maybe the reason you want to restore the Windows 10 system image to an existing or larger storage device is that you don't want to lose your data or the storage is running out on the old device. You can follow the steps below to do so.

  1. 1. When you see the press any key to boot from CD or DVD command, do it as recommended. Then the Windows logo will appear on the screen and you need to click Next
  2. 2. Click Repair your computer and choose Troubleshoot. Select System Image Recovery and you need to make sure that your external hard disk where the system image is located is connected and turned on.
  3. 3. System Image will select the latest system image by default, if you would rather restore another image, select the Select a system image backup box and click Next to select an available system image.
  4. 4. If you have partitions you would to exclude, click the Exclude disks... button and click Next. Then, click Finish to begin.
  5. 5. Click Yes to continue when you see a warning. Then, wait for the process to finish. After that, click Restart Now to launch your computer.

There you go! If you find the process too complicated, you may try a files and operating systems backup tool called EaseUS Todo Backup, which could make the process much simpler.
