What Is Limiting My SSD Speed?
I just bought a new SSD - Samsung 860 EVO and decided to compare its speed with my old 840 EVO. The results look weird as none of them come close (especially the 860) to the advertised read/write speeds (at least read speeds should be above 500 MB/S). What could be the reason for the slowdown?

You can download Magician when your Samsung SSD starts to slow down, but you should download the latest version. Run it, upgrade all firmware, and check if that fixes your problem. Here is how:
Step 1. Visit the Samsung website to get the latest Samsung Magician app and run it.
Step 2. In the Samsung Magician window, click the Update button in the lower left corner.
Step 3. You will see update options for all firmware updates available for your Samsung SSD. Here, you need to click on Update to continue and then OK.
Step 4. After completing the process, open the Samsung Magician software on your PC to check if the firmware has been updated.
