What to Do After Cloning Hard Drive?

I successfully cloned my HDD to the SSD, but now I have no idea what to do next. In disk management, the HDD says (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition), while on the SSD, it only says (Primary Partition). Do I just go to the properties and clean the HDD? I still want to use the HDD as storage.

After you clone the hard drive, you are supposed to do the following issues:

  • Check that all the data on the SSD has been cloned correctly.
  • Format and repartition the original hard drive if you wish to use it as storage.
  • Make sure that your computer is booting from the cloned SSD in BIOS/UEFI, or you won't be able to start your computer from the SSD. Change your BIOS/UEFI boot order to boot from the cloned drive if necessary.
  • Change Windows startup settings to make sure that you are running Windows from the SSD.
  • Clean up disk partitions and create any new ones you may need on both drives.
  • Check that all installed programs and drivers are working correctly.
