I want to buy a new computer, and it is a problem for me to choose SSD or HDD. Which lasts longer, HDD or SSD? Can anyone help me make a choice?

Actually, as for the lifespan, SSD significantly lasts longer than that of an HDD.
Usually, the HDDs tend to last about 3 - 5 years, but the SSDs can last up to 10 years or more. And the reason is that there is no moving parts in SSDs, but the HDDs have many spinning disks that can wear down over time.
Apart from the lifespan, the SSDs are faster than the HDDs and also use less power than the HDDs.
Although the SSD can last up to more than 10 years, there might be some data loss on your SSD due to an unexpected system crash, SSD failure, and more. So, it is necessary to back up your SSD to prevent data/file loss, especially some vital information, at that time.
While speaking of backing up SSD, you can rely on a professional backup software - EaseUS Todo Backup. This software makes it easy to back up your SSD, HDD, system, or others and then use it to restore a backup to a special location as you want.
